Wayne Blatt, Artistic Director, received his ballet training from Liana Haeusler, Prima Assoluta of the National Theatre in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and friend of George Balanchine. Mr. Blatt served as Premier Danseur of the Genesee Civic Ballet for eighteen years, dancing leading roles in many ballets, including the Nutcracker, Le Beau Danube, Les Patineurs, and Swan Lake.
Mr. Blatt was a guest dancer with the Baltimore Opera Theatre. In1960, Mr. Blatt was recognized in Dance Magazine for his exceptional talent and promise. Mr. Blatt is a Dance Masters of America certified dance teacher and has over 40 years of teaching experience. He was the founder and Artistic Director for the School of Classical Ballet, and is the Ballet Master for the Flower City Ballet. Mr. Blatt has staged countless productions throughout his career. Many of his students have continued their dance education at schools such as the Julliard School and the Cincinnati Conservatory. Others are dancing professionally for companies such as Ballet Magnificat and Peoria Ballet.
